I was recently given the chance to visit CCT Venues at 40 Bank Street London. It has some of the most amazing views of London, which is not a surprise as it’s on the 32nd floor! It’s based in Canary Wharf, which means there are plenty of ways to get there. Along with friendly staff and amazing facilities, it really is a great venue.
While I was there, I decided to make a site visit video. With the kind permission of the staff, I was able to record the facilities. For example, the restaurant, meeting rooms and conference spaces. This also gave me the opportunity to test out some of the new gadgets that I had bought recently.
For sound I used wireless lavalier microphones. The Synco G2 came with two transmitters and one receiver. The kit included various extra bits, including clip on microphones and audio cables – most of what you need to get the job done. Battery life is pretty good and for the price, the audio was rather good. Much better than relying on my phones microphone.
The video was recorded with my Android phone, which was mounted in a gimbal to stabilise the image. I used the FeiyuTech Pocket 2 Gimbal, a comparatively small device that’s easy to pack in your planner bag. My only concern, initially, was battery life.
